In 1989, Arve Tellefsen opened the doors to Norway’s first chamber music festival. Tellefsen’s vision was to showcase the diversity of chamber music and bring the music to a larger audience than it had traditionally had in Norway until then. Over the years, the festival has established itself as an important and popular player in Norwegian musical life, both for musicians and audiences.
The Oslo Chamber Music Festival holds a very special place in Eldbjørg’s heart. As Artistic Director, she hopes to share her love of chamber music and inspire audiences all across the city. The festival has been part of her musical journey for many years, and it continues to be a source of joy, creativity, and connection.
